Wireless network connection stuck on validating identity

Rated 3.99/5 based on 944 customer reviews

The only item of note is that after commanding "ipconfig/renew" I got the following: An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection 3: The R PC server is unavailable.

That "R" seemed funny, being right at the edge of the window.

When I attempted to do the same for the RPC, everything below Startup type was greyed out. _________________________________________________________________ Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Enum\Root\LEGACY_NETBT] "Next Instance"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Enum\Root\LEGACY_NETBT

God only knows what all they did to it; at the very least they seem to have utterly screwed over System Restore.

After about 30 minutes of fiddling around with various settings, I was able to figure out what the problem was.

Here’s how to connect to your wireless router if you are getting this message.

First, click on the wireless icon in your taskbar and under Related Tasks, choose Change advanced settings.

Now click on the Wireless Networks tab and select the network in the list at the bottom.
